Rutabaga's Market and Cafe: A Quaint Culinary Gem in Hampton, GA

Very nice and small local restaurant where all the food is made fresh. I've eaten here a few times when travelling to the area for work and I will definitely return. The salads are good, the soup is good, the sandwiches are good, everything is good here. The people that work here are also extremely nice and the restaurant definitely has a homey atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone stopping in the area. Oh, they have really good pimento cheese too by the way. I'm originally from SC so I can way that with confidence lol.

My first visit and absolutely LOVED it! Very quaint, homey, great food and sundries, and friendly staff!! We were there for a Sip and Craft party that was lots of fun! That's what the "gather" photos are from.

This is a very cute little Cafe located on the corner in downtown Hampton. Very cool atmosphere decorated with old rock and roll vinyl albums, old southern license plates etc. The staff were very polite and friendly. I had the steak and cheese signature sandwich. It has steak, sautéed onions , green peppers and cheese, I paired it with the potato salad. It was fantastic and they used baby reds, my favorite!!! The food was above excellent and I would highly recommend stopping in if you are hungry. You won't be disappointed.

Great small cafe. Comfortable environment. The food is good and pricing is nice. The have an awe strawberry jam that we go there just to get. All their other soups, seasoning mixes are tasty as well. Still getting around to trying the other items. Love the small town welcoming neighborhood feel of it.

This quaint whole in the wall, was a great choice for brunch. The food was great and I loved the potato salad great prices. They have German chocolate cake Will be back

Quick, friendly service. I eat here quite a bit. Good selection of sandwiches and rotating soup choices. I've never been disappointed.

The posters are so cool. The ladies made us feel like we were home. The potato soup, grilled cheese, PBJ & breakfast potatoes were spectacular.

I was very impressed by the food that they serve even though it was a to go pick up order. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich croissant and a side of broccoli salad. Chicken salad was great and I tasted pineapples and some kind of nuts. The sandwich is definitely not boring with all the textures it has. The croissant was flaky and delicious. The broccoli salad reminded me of the sweetness of coleslaw but with a fresh and crispy crunch. The salad also has bacon bits and pecans I believe. I will definitely be going back to try more of their menu items.
